The place is famous because here were found the ruins of an ancient settlement, which in ancient times was the main city of the island. Pigeon houses of the island of Tinos
Located in the valley of the village of Tarambados, where you can see more than 200 of these bizarre buildings. Under this name hide the houses, from 7 to 8 meters high, which were used to shelter the pigeons of the island during the Venetian rule.
The Beaches of Tinos Island

How to reach Tinos
The island of Tinis is about 80m from Athens. It is more comfortable to visit this island via Is. Kea and the island. Andros. The prevailing winds in the area are northwest and therefore it is very easy to reach Tinos by sailboat.
